I went to Target, I bought the (small can of) Elnet, I brought it home, and I tried it out. Folks, it's as good as the rumor-mill would have you believe. It totally lives up to its press, both here and abroad. Honestyly, this is the greatest hairspray OF ALL TIME.
You, too, can own a can of Elnet if you skilbble off to your nearest Target. The small bottles are $6.99, and the big ones are $14.99. Less than $20 for either size, and SO WORTH IT.
If you miss the days of big 80's hair, if modern hairsprays aren't cutting it for you, or if you just want fine French engineering (of a hair care product), then get the Elnet. Here's why I recommend (lurve) it:
Elnet Pros -
It sprays a very fine mist, that gently coats every strand of hair.
It smells addictive – like hairspray, a hot guy's cologne, and money. Seriously.
It holds like Aqua Net.
It's not at all sticky or flaky.
It won't dull or dry out your hair.
Elnet Cons -
NOTHING.
And no, I've not been bribed by L'Oreal, or Elnet, or the French government. This is my honest opinion, freely given as always. Whether you want it or not.

Thanks for the honest opinion freely given! For my hair, the true test would be if Elnet can prevent my flat ironed bangs from wigging out in the summertime; my natural curls tend to freak out when the humidity rises. Nothing yet has consistently championed flat bangs for me. Maybe Elnet will?
That is a pretty convincing argument for a hairspray, but anyone who wants to take away my Sebastian Shaper Plus will have to wrestle it from my cold dead hand. I have been using it since 1983, and it smells like COLLEGE.
