I was going to add “Review” to the title – my movie review for the new Star Trek movie. However, I can sum it up in one word. And that word is AWESOME. Also? HOT. Also, also? I TOTALLY WANT TO MAKE OUT WITH SPOCK AND/OR BONES. Which might be the weirdest sentence I type all week…
Last Recap, I made the bold statement that I was going to only go to Target once for the entire week. I would make a list for my single trip – and that list would be legion, containing every single Targety thing I could need for the week. Therefore, I wouldn’t have to make multiple trips for that proverbial ‘one last thing.’
Well, I blew that idea out of the water, when moments later I realized I needed a cami to wear under a too-low-cut T-shirt for an audition. And I had 10 minutes to buy one at the nearest store (aka, Target). And I did not have time to do my full Target trip for the week within those 10 minutes. So, yeah. I made two trips to Target this week. But at least I’m down from last week, right? That ought to count for something.
Weekly Recap – Read it and enjoy. Or, you know, weep. I’m not picky:
Sunday, May 10
Farmer’s Market, fruit and olives and a few baked goods, $9.00
Red Box Movie, Bride Wars for Mother’s Day, $1.06
Papa Murphy’s Pizza, dinner for Mother’s Day, $5.99
Monday, May 11
ITunes, two new dance songs, $2.58
Wash N Fill, gas for the Honda, $20.00
Target, the aforementioned cami, $7.99
Cub Foods, groceries, $37.43
Wednesday, May 13
Maverick’s, best roast beef sandwich and fries EVER, $10.00 (including tip)
JoAnn Fabric, costuming stuff and a candy bar, $11.52 (yeah, bad day for my healthy eating plan)
Thursday, May 14
SuperAmerica, gas AGAIN and soda (bad) and Tornados (worse), $19.10
Friday, May 15
Target, makeup and bath stuff and TP and treats and fruits and veggies, $38.04 (Ouch)
Saturday, May 16
Caribou, coffee for the Larue family and I, $6.73
Random gas station, and yet more coffee (!), $1.25
Southdale Theater, ticket for Star Trek, $10.00 – but they’re only $5 Monday thru Thursday!
Southdale Theater, candy for the movie, $3.00
Seeing the best movie of the summer? Priceless.
Total For The Week, $183.69
And that, my friends, ain’t half bad. However, this new week has gotten off to a roaring, uber-spendy start – I took my goddaughter Boo-Boo out for the day, and we ended up buying a $23 Cheese-Head Top Hat. Honestly, you’ll have to see it to believe it…
Final Note – Yes, this post is short, and yes, I need to further address my website’s name change, and yes again, I need to post Eye Candy. Stop back this evening for more frugally fun!

While YOU seem to be cutting back on trips to Target, *I* am getting worse. I swear, it's a horrible disease. It's really bad when the Target employees recognize you every time you come in, and practically act as if you're old friends. Well, I just keep forgetting stuff, or think of other things I need.
Glad SOMEONE'S scaling back Targety doodads. You're a stronger person than I am. :::sigh::: Looking forward to some Monday eye candy later!
My saving grace is that there is no Target here… or maybe that's just my big disgrace, because I end up at Walmart instead (which is all we've got folks). Sad, sad, sad. I'll take an extra trip for Target-y goodness any day.
