Look Under There!

014

Under where?  Hah!  I just made you read ‘underwear!’  Yeah, I’m like a 6th-grader sometimes…

Tip Of The Day:  Target does it again.  They now carry not one, but two kinds of awesome cotton undies that fit great, don’t ride up, and don’t cost a fortune.  Read on for the review.

Tip For Tomorrow:  Wednesday is Hump Day to workers everywhere.  Stop back tomorrow for break from slaving away for the Man and take the Hump Day Opinion Poll.  Because at least once a week, it should be all about you and what you think, dang it.

Further Elucidation Of My Cheap Deal:  I have written long and often about my love for Target’s Gilligan and O’Malley underwear – both the low-rise hipsters and the awesome push-up padded bras.  But now there’s a new contender for my undie affection, and they’re located right next door to the G and O.

I’m talking about these little beauties:

012

The Xhilaration brand hipsters.  They come in 8 different patterns for just $3 a piece, making them 99 whole cents cheaper than the low-rise hipsters I normally wear.  Which doesn’t sound like much, until you factor in how many pairs of underwear a person goes through (or SHOULD go through) in a lifetime.  It’s the little things that add up, you know.

How does the X brand stack up to G and O?  They both have that great, flat edge around the legs and waist, so they won’t show through your pants.  They both sit low on the hips, so they won’t peep over the top of your pants.  And the cotton they’re made from is equally soft and comfy.

There are some differences, though.  The X’s have a smaller seat and a lower rise, so they are not quite as full coverage.  If you want to cover all the junk in your trunk, stick to the Gilligan and O’Malley, or you might have some creepage.  But if you want something a bit sexier (if cotton undies can ever be considered sexy), go with the Xhilaration.

I plan on mixing in the slightly smaller coverage, slightly sexy Xhilaration with my normal underwear rotation.  At $3 a pop, how can a Chick go wrong?

I see London, I see France, I want hear about YOUR favorite brand of underpants.

Victoria’s Secret cotton undies (love the cotton), when they’re on sale for something like 5 for $25. They’re the best I’ve ever had, and they last foreeeeever. They’re actually one of the ONLY things I can buy at VS, as I am a little bigger than most everything they sell, dangnabbit. I may have to try the Target ones you mentioned. Could be contenders.

I used to only buy Jockey underwear, but now I buy the Hanes Hipsters at Target. They go on sale for $5 for three pairs. Nice stretchy cotton in bright colors and good coverage.

Only Jockey For Her all cotton bikinis. I’m too thrifty to buy them at full price ($18 for a 3-pack). When I find them at Marshall’s for $4.99 I stock up! I’ve tried the others (Hanes, VS, Target) but I always come back to my Jockeys…vice soft cotton, no creeping up where they don’t belong.

The Jockeys or the Hanes already mentioned. I get the Jockeys at the Jockey outlet in Albertville.

I am a Jockey girl, too, all because of the no-ride up factor.

Truthfully, After getting totally frustrated with the wedgies. I started wearing men’s boxer briefs, they are comfy and I never have the ride up issues! And my hubby thinks it is totally sexy!!

I love Victoria’s Secret PINK. But I wait until they run the sales where you get a discount plus a free pair if you buy 5, or something like that.
