So little time to say it.

Tip Of The Day:  Although I usually dislike blogging about the blog (too self-indulgent, even for me), I have too many AWESOME announcements to hold them all in.  I’m breaking my squee over here.  Therefore, today’s post is dedicated to all my vastly important updates.  Never fear, there will be a frugal and fabulous tip at the end, I promise.

Tip For The Weekend:  Do not drink and drive.  That may seem self-evident, but holiday weekends means holiday parties which means holiday drinks which could mean holiday drunk driving.  And DWIs, DUIs, what-have-yous are both expensive and soul-crushing.  Instead, crash on your friend’s couch – that’s what they’re there for.

Further Elucidation Of My Cheap Deal:  Okay, so I have a HUGE announcement to make, one that I’ve been teasing you about for the last 24 hours.  But first, I have a few minor announcements to take care of.  I know, I’m totally milking the moment.  Bear with me, folks.

1.  You can now follow me on Twitter.  I always thought I’d resist the evil pull of the tweet, but apparently its gravity is too powerful.  If I haven’t invited you already, go to twitter.com and search for thecheapchickMN, then follow the site’s simple instructions.  I promise to be more coherent than Paula Abdul and less smug than John Mayer.

2.  I’m sooooooo close to having 100 Fans!  If you haven’t Fan’d me yet, just click on the link to your left (Pretty please!  Thank you!).  See it?  Over there?  If you Fan the Cheap Chick, you’ll be instantly updated when I post a new post.  Saves you time!  Saves you aggravation!  Saves you… well, it doesn’t save you money, but it’s still a cool feature, right?

3.  I’ve updated the Contact page to include information about hiring me for… whatever.  Print/TV advertising, spokesperson, voice-over work, public speaking, instructional videos, to replace Billy Mays, you name it, I’ll do it.  As long as it’s not illegal, immoral, or endangers my life.  Best of all, I’m not a cokehead like some pitch-people I could mention but I don’t wish to speak ill of the dead.

And now, it’s time for my FREAKING HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT.  Drum roll please…

The Cheap Chick on Fox 9 is moving from Tuesdays at 5 PM to their newly expanded morning show.  That’s right, I’ll be LIVE, discussing frugal stuff LONGER – 5 minutes as opposed to 2.5 minutes, doubling my airtime, woot!  Tune in Thursday, September 17^th at 9 AM and watch me (hopefully) not swear on live television.  Because that would suck.

Seriously, though, this is a big deal – morning shows are where people get their big starts.  And I couldn’t have gotten here without you, the reader.  Thank you so much for your support, your kind words, and most of all, your AWESOME frugal tips and tricks.  You guys are the best, and I love you.
