Cooper Rocks!
Many fabulous people have helped The Cheap Chick Empire throughout the years, and one of the best and coolest people to give me a hand up is Cooper Lawrence. So I was THRILLED when I saw she had a new book out – The Yoga Club. Dudes, you should all go buy it now and then read it and then say awesome things about it.
Why? Because Cooper is an amazing writer. And? A vastly entertaining person. So it’s worth your time and money. Cooper Lawrence! She is Cheap Chick Approved.

The Cheap Chick On TV
Need even more of The Cheap Chick? Tune into the FOX 9 Buzz on Tuesday and Thursday mornings!

Thank God It’s Tuesday
Why? Because I have so much freaking work to do this week that if it were, say, Thursday, I’d be totally screwed.
Tip Of The Day: Be grateful for the small things, like three more work days to get stuff done. Also? For having awesome readers who do my job for me, like Sarah from Fantastic Sam’s and our very own Stunt Girl, F’OH (pronounced d’oh, ala Homer Simpson).
Tip For Tomorrow: Tune in for our newest weekly feature – The Hump Day Opinion Poll. This week’s topic is ‘Doing Without.’ What luxuries have you given up, to save a buck or two?
Further Elucidation Of My Cheap Deal: Today… I had nothing. Absolutely nothing to post about. Oh sure, I could have made something up, or recycled an old post from the past, but I’m really trying to do better by you guys. You come here for fun and frugality, and AS GOD AS MY WITNESS, I’ll provide.
However, today I don’t have to provide, as Sarah from Fantastic Sam’s is providing for us:
“I wanted to give you a heads up on Fantastic Sam’s upcoming Haircut sale which takes place Oct. 5 – 18. Haircuts will be $9.99, no coupon necessary. All cuts include complimentary FS Shampoo Therapy, which includes a massaging shampoo, conditioning rinse and blow dry.
In addition, the October Valpak coupons – in your mailboxes beginning 10/3 – extend the haircut offer until 11/14. Valpak also features coupons for a $5 Redken Conditioning Treatment and $7 off a full color, lowlights, highlights or perm.
Thought you may find this interesting to share with your followers (I do find it interesting. I’m also tickled that she calls my readers ‘followers.’ How Heaven’s Gate sounding is that?). Just because we are frugalistas doesn’t mean we can’t get professional hair care. Fantastic Sam’s prides itself on offering many of the services found at upscale salons, for a fraction of the cost.”
Also, Stunt Girl F’OH jogged my memory of an awesomely awesome coupon site. How? She very generously e-mailed me a few coupons (from the site) she thought I’d enjoy. So I’m posting a reminder link to the site for the rest of you, seeing as you don’t have your own Stunt Girl to search coupons out for you. Pity.
Speaking of coupon web sites, fellow frugal guy Jeff recently sent me this little on-dit:
“After months of work, based on an OVERWHELMING response for the Coupon Sherpa iPhone App, we just launched a brand new website at http://www.couponsherpa.com/ as an all inclusive coupon site with deals on online, grocery, mobile, and printable coupons. In addition, we’ve included Digg-like voting features so users can help each other find the best bets, as well as commenting and Tweeting links to foster a community of couponers (not a real word, but I like it).
Luke and Jesse Knowles, founders of Coupon Sherpa, have created a family of cartoon characters called The Frugals, http://www.thefrugals.com/, to promote their network of frugal living sites. Mr. Free Stuff, http://www.mrfreestuff.com/, is a site where visitors can find free samples and free products. Mrs. Sweepstakes, http://www.mrssweepstakes.com/, is a source of online sweepstakes and contests. In the next 12 months, the Knowles plan to introduce other frugal living sites dedicated to gift cards and rebates among other subjects.”
And there you have it. An entire post full of frugal goodness for one and all, and I didn’t even have to lift a finger. Now THAT’S something to be grateful for.
