Hi there! It’s late, isn’t it? So with no further ado, here is a quick overlook at what we (Alix, Jason and I) talked about on today’s Fox 9 Morning Buzz – best websites for deals, discounts and coupons.
Local site I love:
1. http://tccoupons.com. They have local coupons, featured coupons for national retailers, plus two places to click on their site for printable manufacturers’ in-store coupons – coupons.com and redplum.
2. http://thriftyhipster.com. “Searching out the best local happy hours since 2002.” The site tells you which clubs, bars and restaurants are offering happy hour and other deals, as well as what events are coming up (concerts, etc.) and the venues’ prices. You can sign up for free drinks, drink coupons and event updates.
3. www.suddendeals.com. Sign up and receive text messages about “sudden deals” on happy hour specials, restaurants deals and events. The service is free to join, and you can customize it to suit your needs. (I even did a Cheap Chick segment before about this site, that’s how cool it is!)
4. And of course, the Print Coupons page on www.myfoxtwincities.com. Click on the Print Coupons tab and save big with over 100 manufacturers’ coupons.
World Wide Websites:
1. http://cozywallet.com. They have coupons, freebies, promotional deals, sample sales, product reviews, even a ‘going green’ page with reviews and tips. Sign up on their email list for updates sent straight to your in-box. Example of a deal – 20% any Coach purchase at one of their outlet stores now until 11/15.
2. www.freeshipping.org. NOT .com, .org. They provide free shipping coupons to 1743 stores like Amazon and Target. You can sign up for free shipping coupon alerts via your email. It’s essentially a clearinghouse of all the shipping deals different stores offer, so you don’t have to check site by site.
3. www.deepdiscount.com Fantastic deals on all media – CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray, books, video games, etc. Best of all, they offer free shipping and handling on EVERYTHING, regardless of what you spend. They also carry hard-to-find items like DVDs of older movies and obscure TV shows. Example – the complete series of Booker (starring Richard Grieco!) on DVD for just $9.17.
4. www.shopgoodwill.com. Voted #18 in the Top 50 Best Websites for 2009, according to Time Magazine. It’s like shopping at your favorite thrift store from the comfort of your own home. “Proceeds from shopgoodwill.com online auctions enhance mission-driven services provided by Goodwill Industries.”

Many thanks for the info!! I have used shopgoodwill.com a bazillion times and have enjoyed it (it is indeed a blast, and faboo and unique things abound!). I’d like to advise visitors to that site, to e-mail any questions to the particular Goodwill store listed facilitating the item up for auction BEFORE bidding. Otherwise, if you win the auction and haven’t addressed your concerns before bidding, you’re still obligated to pay. No turning back. You may lose bidding privileges, too, if you don’t pay up (or on time). I’ve never had those problems. But thought others may want a heads-up on some of the skinny.
