Winter Solstice Drum and Fire Jam, The Cedar in Minneapolis, $10, the 21st at 7:00.
And from PegBeg and the gang at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater:
“If you’re looking for an awesome entertainment bargain, and something special for your family to do during December together…this is something to be enjoyed by everyone from Grandma and Grandpa all the way down to the grandkids…
Chanhassen Dinner Theatres is offering a $49 dinner AND show ticket through December 30th for your choice of any of three musical productions: Another Night Before Christmas, Nunset Boulevard (the new Nunsense world premiere) or Okalama! Callers must ask for the $49 deal to receive it and the offer is valid on all remaining tickets! Another added bonus…parking and coat check is absolutely free and our building is decked out to the max for Christmas, complete with lights, dozens of trees and live lobby music, oh and a roaring fireplace to boot! It’s a cozy, warm, magical, musical evening for the entire family. PS: this is a savings of up to $26 PER TICKET!”
And speaking of the Globetrotters, not that we were, but maybe WE SHOULD, they’ll be playing in Mpls the 26th and 27th. Tickets start at $24, which isn’t crazy-bad.

If you buy the “Home for the Holidays: A MN Christmas” at Target for $10, you get a ticket for the Phalen lights thing. So if you plan on going on a weekend, you essentially get the CD for free
