I’m talking about my Dad, of course, whose birthday it is today. Happy Birthday, Dad! And thank you for being born the day (and a few years) before me, so we never forget each other’s birthdays!
Now on to other news. I’ve been sorting through my receipts from last week, and apparently I didn’t spend a red cent on either Monday or Tuesday. Which seems… odd, but the proof is in the pudding, as well as the lack of receipts for either day. Hmm. Anyway, let’s see what I did spend, shall we?
The I Spent WHAT? Recap:
The aforementioned Monday and Tuesday, January 18 and 19
Nothing. Huh. Perhaps I’ll make up for it on Wednesday…
Wednesday, January 20
Target, trip #1 for veggies and Goo Gone, $10.61 (Ooo! And according to my receipt, I saved $2.40.)
Target, trip #2 for all the things I forgot to buy in the first trip, $30.56
Arby’s, dinner before my Wench Posse meeting (veggies be damned!), $5.37
Exxon of Shoreview, gas of Honda, $22.44
Thursday, January 21
Holiday Gas Station, breakfast before the show, $2.91
Post office, shipping for swapped items, $10.30
Mall of America, fingerless black leather gloves for various costuming opportunities… and because they ROCK, $10.51
Friday, January 22
Red Box, two movies – only one of which I watched, $2.14
Saturday, January 23
Sonic, a Fritos wrap (YUM) and blended Coke float (YUM), $3.10
Mil End Textile, more Packer fabric and a gorgeous remnant for Ren Fest wear, $7.69
Savers, a turtleneck for my Day of Wrong costume and a bracelet for my Steampunk Assassin costume, $5.19
Value Village, a cute black purse and a wedding dress (What? It was a dollar.), $4.21
Jo-Ann Fabric, a Mallo-Cup for dessert, $.53
Michael’s Craft Store, several costuming goodies, $2.35 (I had a gift card)
Convention Grill, a hard-earned dinner after all that shopping, $10.41
Sunday, January 24
Random gas station, gas for my random Honda, $10.00
Target AGAIN, paper products and hair products, $21.95
Total For The Week: $160.27. This seems… light. I’m sure I’m missing at least one receipt – I recall a Taco Bell run somewhere in there – but what can you do? I keep close track of all those bits of paper, but I’m only one small human, dammit! Sometimes things slip throw, which would also explain how John Mayer got a record deal.
So. That’s how I did, spending-wise, last week. Now it’s time to share with the group – was the third week of the New Year cheap or expensive for you? Enquiring minds want to know.

**Happy Birthday, Mr. Schneider!!**
Thanks for being Papa to our awesome Cheap Chick. She rocks. And I’m sure you’re pretty darn cool too.
My week’s spending? Dirt cheap, whatever the amounts were. Stretched reeeeeally thin. Erin, you should get a job at Target — you’d get a discount to help offset all of your trips there.
(Who am I kidding? *I* should work there as well. LOL)
I thought I was the only one on the planet who doesn’t like John Mayer. Glad I’m not.
I find it funny that the things you forgot at Target cost more than the things you remembered.
yeah I can’t say I’m a fan of John Mayer either. I change the radio station as soon as I hear his music. His voice annoys me.
