Um, first, Jon Hamm IS HOT. I think perhaps your man meter is off.

Secondly, you know what a bodkin is, because you have used one at my house. (That sounds dirty, unfortunately.) It is a little metal piece that allows you to thread shoestrings through the tops of drawstring skirts.

Sigh. Do I have to explain EVERYTHING to you? (hee)

It's always interesting to check out your spending recaps. *Love* the new title -- "I Spent WHAT?" LOL (I think that every time I go to Tarzhay.) I second Carol's comment that you're inspiring. Thanks, Erin!

Just reviewed your spending and one thing surprises me...you mail out your bills? I do all of mine online and avoid the postal service. My husband still mails his out and is constantly spending money on stamps. I use maybe 5-6 stamps a year, outside of Christmas cards, and only write about 20 checks a year as well. So, saving money on both fronts. Just a thought...my credit union, where I bank because of no fees, no minimum balance and a boat load of perks, has a bill payer program that is free. Plus, all transactions using my debit card as a credit card (not entering the PIN) they round up to the nearest dollar, put it into a savings account and pay interest quarterly. Now, I'm not rolling in dough but I started this in August and between the round ups and interest I'm up to $150 in that savings account. No pain and it is just a small account that I'll let grow for a while and then use it for something fun or for spending money for a trip. Just a couple of ideas for additional saving. Love what you are doing and thanks for the inspiration!

Hi C.C.,
Regarding "swap something I already own..." Consider precious metal recycling. Exciting new jewelry made out of old jewelry that isn't that exciting.
