Dudes. Confession time. I am SO BORED with keeping track of my weekly spending. I’ll continue to do it until at least April 1, 2010 (which would be one full year of tracking), but after that, I need a new challenge. Maybe $25 Or Less? Much like my first challenge – $20 or less – but with a $5 increase for inflation.
Anyhow, let’s get my recap over with, so we can move on to the fun stuff, namely, Hot Men. This week’s Eye Candy is brought to you by the city of New Orleans and my SIL. But first, what I spent.
I Spent WHAT? Weekly Recap:
Monday, February 1, My buddy Tiff’s birthday!
Target, can of breakfast blend coffee, $2.59
Tuesday, February 2, My SIL’s birthday!
Holiday Station, gas for the guzzler (hey, at least it’s not a Toyota), $20
Cub Foods, groceries (snore), $13.35
Wednesday, February 3
McDonald’s, dinner before Posse Meeting (predictable), $3.20
BP of France, le gum for le goddaughter, $2.50
Thursday, February 4
My favorite Holiday Station, breakfast (same old same old), $3.20
Target, more groceries and a really awesome face cream, $27.58
Friday, February 5
Target (I know, what a shocker), Totino’s and eggs and a tank top and such, $11.28
Saturday, February 6
Gas station by my Mom’s house, well… GAS (booooooring), $20.01
Sunday, February 7
Target (Just leave me alone. I don’t judge YOU.), toiletries and snacks, $17.54
Total For The Week: $121.25. A respectable – i.e. DULL – showing for the week. I need to shake things up around here. Perhaps, I don’t know, shop at Walmart for a month instead of Target? Or, eat nothing but things that cost less than a dollar for a week? That might be cool. Food, literally, for thought…
Speaking of things that are cool, my very cool SIL requested this week’s Eye Candy – a player on the Super Bowl winning Saints:

Linebacker Scott Fujita. She likes him for, well, obvious reasons:

He’s hot. Duh. And he’s also very outspoken on certain political issues that he, my SIL and I all see eye-to-eye on. Want to know what they are? Google the boy, and you will quickly find out. However, I really strive to keep the Cheap Chick Empire a politics-free zone, so I decline to go into details about what he stands for. Sufficive to say, we love him. We (my SIL and I) also love this guy:

Gratuitous Piglet Picture! Don’t you just want to smooch that cute face?

Yeah eye candy! That is a very cute picture of you and the boy, if I do say so myself.

P.S. – I am in awe of your budgeting talents, as always.
Piglet really does look a lot like you. And excellent budgeting skills! I am not going to tell you what I spent on beads and fabric yesterday…
How about you just post how much money you save each week through coupons, sales, etc.?
I actually second the idea of reporting how much you save each week and how you did it. I think that would provide a little more insight on how you apply your frugality skillz (yes, skills with a “z”).
For example, did you go grocery shopping and take advantage of Rainbow’s fabulous sale of pot roast and free onions, potatoes and carrots? Did you purchase something using a sale and a coupon (which saves even more money)?
I don’t know why, but I was drawn to your challenge and I came up with a better idea. How ’bout you only buy things for 1 year that are on sale or you have a coupon for? This obviously won’t include gas, mortgage, utilities, etc., but should include groceries, eating out, and clothing.
