Cooper Rocks!
Many fabulous people have helped The Cheap Chick Empire throughout the years, and one of the best and coolest people to give me a hand up is Cooper Lawrence. So I was THRILLED when I saw she had a new book out – The Yoga Club. Dudes, you should all go buy it now and then read it and then say awesome things about it.
Why? Because Cooper is an amazing writer. And? A vastly entertaining person. So it’s worth your time and money. Cooper Lawrence! She is Cheap Chick Approved.

The Continuation Of It Being All About You
Like I said in yesterday’s post, I have tons and oodles and A BIG FAT MANY ideas and tips from readers just like you. Here is some more thrifty fun from the FB Fan page (which, if you haven’t joined yet, please do! Please? I asked nicely…)
From Aunt Heidi (not actually my aunt, but that’s what I call her anyway, and she doesn’t seem to mind), a recommendation for folks near Cannon Falls:
“Check out Area 57 Cafe in Wanamingo, MN for a great meal and reasonable prices. Great for kids and a nice, quiet hideaway from the hub bub of the ‘burbs. On your way visit the Cannon Falls Museum in Cannon Falls!” I love inexpensive travel tips – especially to places I can actually visit.
From Jeffery Gauss – an real, live ARTIST – comes, well, a recommendation that we buy his art:
“Hey Erin, I have the best one of a kind local gifts, all handmade and Local! starting at $8. I’m at (various, local, TC) art festivals all summer!” You can find Jeff on the FB here.
And then from Get The Party Started (Woot! Let’s get it started in here! Sorry, Black-eyed Peas moment):
“LOOKING FOR A DEAL? Less than 10 items left in the SALE section, all under $15… out with the old, making room for new designs! http://www.etsy.com/shop/getthepartystarted“ She now has 9 items in the sale section, so get crackalackin’ people.
Last, here is a food tip from Deann:
When asked what her favorite cheap, guilty pleasure was – “Bacon Wrapped Beef Filet for $1.79 from ALDI & wine from Trader Joes (3 buck Chuck).” Say it with me now, Nom Nom NOM!
Great. Now I’m hungry, I want to party, buy some art, and drive to Cannon Falls.
