We interupt our regular post – one I’m sure would have been filled to the brim with vastly frugal information – for this important announcement. Okay, FINE. It’s important only to me and my family, but still. This is my site and I can write whatever the heck I want.
Today, at 6 AM, my niece was born – 7 pounds, 7 ounces, 19 inches long. She joins my Big Brother, SIL, and Piglet, and I’m sure they are already making her feel most welcome. Congratualtions to my peeps in Chicago! Now go take a well-deserved nap.
What shall we call this latest arrival to the Cheap Chick Empire? As she was born in the Chinese Year of the Tiger, I’ve dubbed her Tigger. It goes nicely with Piglet, no? And yes, I’m obsessed with Winnie the Pooh – don’t judge me. (BTW, my brother’s nickname when he was a kid? Christopher Robin.)
Welcome to the family, Tigger. I can’t wait to see you.
