Therefore, others will be writing this post for me. Bristol Ren Faire, here I come! Yeah, I’m that big of a nerd – now you know. And knowing is half the battle.
From my bestie, Lou, comes this PR announcement from Clothes Mentor in Edina (my fave Mentor). They are hosting a fundraising event Wednesday August 11 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm:
“Our theme is Ladies Night Out and we will open our store for shopping and socializing just to those attending the event. I am doing this in conjunction with Minnesota Life College, a college for kids who suffer from mental disabilities such as Autism. Minnesota Life College is a great asset to those who use them, but they rely heavily on donations to help meet their operating costs. Therefore I have decided to do what I can to support this cause.
They are selling tickets on their web site www.MinnesotaLifeCollege.org for $20. This ticket gets you into the store. One hundred percent of the cost of the ticket goes to MLC. You can also buy a ticket from me (the Clothes Mentor in Edina) as well if you prefer. While you’re shopping at this special evening, enjoy 15% off all regularly priced merchandise in the store.
We’ll will also have: Wine and Cheese; Gift bags for the first 50 people in the door; Two raffles for Clothes Mentor gift cards, one at 6:30 pm and one at 7:00 pm; A raffle for a designer purse at 7:30 pm; Store Coupons; and Students from MLC to answer your questions. Finally, Clothes Mentor will donate 15% of the evening’s sales to MLC.”
From my FAVORITE PR person, Sarah – a notice of fantastic-ness at Fantastic Sams:
“I wanted to let you know you can get a Redken Conditioning Treatment at Fantastic Sams for $7.99 through August 15 with the current coupon from Red Plum – the ones that come to your house – or at http://www.redplum.com/pages/viewoffer.aspx?id=1593581:3562620.
Fantastic Sams of Minnesota offers “Redken Chemistry” shots — conditioning treatments designed to nourish hair and make it more manageable and easier to style. The “shots” treat every hair type from color-treated hair to dry hair as well as weak or frizzy hair. The conditioning shots can be blended and customized to the meet your specific hair needs. Just one 10-minute treatment can rejuvenate your hair for several weeks or months if you use the right products to support it.”
And last, from new PR person, Shera, comes this announcement… that I’m slow to get out to you, as I suck. However! You can still take advantage of these deals today and tomorrow at Staples near you:
“I know you like to share the best bargains with your readers (it’s true, I do) so I wanted to let you know about this week’s back-to-school deals, valid July 25-July 31, from Staples.
25 cent deals: Zebra Sarasa, limit 1; Hype Highlighter, limit 2; Really Useful Box, limit 2.
Other “hot buys”: $1 Scotch Package Tape, $1 Ticonderoga Pencils, $2 Dry Erase Double Sided, $2 Staples Jumbo Glue, $1 Scotch Invisible Tape, $4 Pentel WOW, $4 Westcott 8” Scissor, $4 Staples School Toolkit”
Alright, enough of all this hard work – it’s back to my vacation! Have a fabulous weekend, peeps.

I do not shop at Aldi’s. I do not shop at Sam’s. I would like to shop at both but in my quest to save money I try not to shop at all. Pathetic I know. My youngest went to college a year ago and I am finding that I don’t need very much. I am in a state of adjustment. I hope to get more comfortable before I turn 100 though!!! Thanks for being you!!! oh and your support staff also!!!
