Normally, I blather on and on in my posts. But not today – I’m still under the weather,* so being succinct is the order of the day.
First up, an inexpensive, low-fat, low-sugar spread – perfect to eat on Wheat Thins. Which, by the way, are on sale for around $2.04 at Target this week.
Ingredients: fat-free cream cheese (Crystal Farms is $1.69 a package at Cub Foods), two cans of tuna in water (about 90 cents at Cub), Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, salt, pepper, and any dried green herb you like (I use tarragon, but dill is good, too).
How-To: cut up the cream cheese into cubes and place them in a microwave bowl. Nuke the cubes for about 30 seconds on high. Smoosh them thoroughly with a fork. Season with both sauces, salt, pepper, and the tarragon. Stir in the drained tuna and mix together completely. Chill until cold. Spread on crackers or raw veggies. NOM.
If you’re lucky, your grocery store is next door to Kohl’s. Why? Because Kohl’s is having a massive sale, with clearance prices reduced 60, 70 and 80%. 80% off = FREE… almost. Close enough. If you don’t live near Kohl’s, don’t worry. Their online store is offering 99 cent shipping today and tomorrow on EVERYTHING.
*Why do we say “under the weather” when we’re sick? Aren’t we all always under the weather? Isn’t it called, you know, atmosphere? These are the things I ponder whilst lying in bed, feeling like crap.

I hope you’re feeling much better soon!
Take care, Miss Erin.
Why do they call it “under the weather”? Huh, ya got me. I’ve been wondering why people drive on a parkway, but park on a driveway, call a shopping cart a “buggy” (alternative mode of transport, perhaps? What, then, would Laura Ingalls call a shopping cart?), and why Quarterback Brett’s last name is pronounced “Farve”, when the “r” and “v” are cattywampus. Just some of the things I’m pondering whilst unemployed.
Linky no worky. You must really be under the weather.
online storeIt just needs the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol prefix.
