1. See Santa in person
a. Bachman’s on Lyndale is presenting their annual free holiday play, Who Crashed Santa’s Sleigh?
i. Saturdays and Sundays, now through December 22nd
ii. Three daily shows, 11 AM, 12:30 PM and 2 PM
iii. Free to attend, and photos with Santa after the play are encouraged
b. Mendota Lights at the Village in Mendota Heights
i. Celebrate at their holiday festival on Saturday, December 7, from 4 to 7 PM
ii. Free hayrides, a petting zoo and most importantly, Santa!
2. See the lights
a. Canadian Pacific Holiday Train in Cottage Grove
i. The train makes tons of stops all over MN through the month of December
ii. Stopping in Cottage Grove on December 14 at 5 PM at the Cottage Rail Yard
iii. Decorated, lit up train cars, a live concert with Sheryl Crow, and the chance to meet Santa
iv. Free to attend, please bring non-perishable food donation
b. Schultz Family Lights Show, now with two more houses!
i. Enjoy fully decorated, lit-up homes on both sides of the street
ii. Located at 1526 York Avenue
iii. The show runs from 5 to 10 PM every day, now until through the end of the month
iv. Free to enjoy, but they request food donations for the Merrick Food Shelf.
3. Listen to the music
a. Hamline University
i. The university’s A Cappella Choir will perform their annual, free Christmas concert
ii. Hamline Church, 4 to 5:30, December 8th
b. Free concerts also available at St. Catherine’s University, Bethel, and Augsburg College
